Whitford Family Centre has
two Pre-Kindy programs.
Our Pre-Kindy programs are socialisation based and focus on children learning through play. We endeavour to provide high quality care that meets the needs of the community. It is our commitment to work side by side with parents and share the role of caring and educating children in their early years.
In our programs we place an emphasis on learning through play in a fun stimulating environment, while preparing children for their journey into “school”. Children are encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities, incorporating music, arts, dramatic play, science and math.
Our program enhances children’s self-esteem, encourages respect for people’s cultural diversities in an inclusive environment. These support age-appropriate learning and help children develop their gross and fine-motor skills, language ability and cognitive processing. They also assist with social and emotional development and include fun activities like music and art and craft.
PRE-KINDY PROGRAM 2 – 3 years
The 3s program is for children turning 3 between January – December.
Children can attend one or more sessions per week and there is a maximum of
20 children per session.
You can choose to join in one of the following groups:
Tuesday 9am – 12pm
Wednesday 9am-12pm
Friday 9am-12pm

Whitford Family Centre requires a copy of your child’s Birth Certificate and Immunisation Records. You can bring these along to the Enrolment Night or attend the Centre during office hours, and we can take a copy of these documents.
PRE-KINDY 4s PROGRAM prepares children for their first year of Kindy.
The 4s program is for children turning 4 between July – December (not eligible to attend the school Kindy program). Children attend one or two 5-hour sessions per week and there is a maximum of 20 children per session.
You can choose to join one or both of the following groups:
Monday – 9am to 2pm
Thursday – 9am – 2pm

Our educators are an integral part of our team, with each educator dedicated to providing individual care in a supportive, nurturing environment.
All staff currently hold a Diploma in Children Services and Working with Children checks.
Whitford Family Centre is licensed by the Education and Care Regulatory Unit and all our programs comply with the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2012.
